Tall Pines 2026 reminded us why we do this.
Friday was everything we had hoped for—a day filled with incredible performances, smiling faces, reunited friends, and the unmistakable feeling that only live music can create. Fans embraced the weather, artists delivered unforgettable sets, vendors kept everyone fueled and inspired, and our staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to create an experience we could all be proud of.
As the day came to a close, there was a genuine sense of excitement and momentum as we looked ahead to Saturday. That made the decision we ultimately had to make all the more heartbreaking. Following Environment Canada's air quality warning, and after carefully considering the health and safety of our fans, artists, staff, volunteers, and everyone working on site, we made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel Saturday's programming. It is a decision no festival ever wants to make, and we cannot apologize enough to everyone who was looking forward to another unforgettable day at the Muskoka Wharf.
While Saturday didn't unfold the way any of us imagined, we're left with immense gratitude for the extraordinary people who make Tall Pines possible…
To our partners in the Unplugged North team, you have become family and part of the fabric of Tall Pines.
To PSI and their incredible production and stage crew, thank you for building a stage that looked spectacular and sounded even better.
To our Artist Relations and Hospitality team, thank you for making every artist feel welcomed, cared for, and like the rockstars they are or will be.
To our Vendor, Volunteer, Box Office and Parking Managers, photographers/videographers and every one of our incredible volunteers, thank you for giving your time, energy, and passion to keep the festival running for as long as safely possible.
To our artisan vendors, community partners, and outstanding food vendors, thank you for helping create an experience that was as unique, welcoming, and as distinctly Muskoka as the festival itself.
To the Admit One and Front Gate ticketing teams, the 232 bar team, and Kewley Security, thank you for the professionalism, care, and countless hours you dedicate behind the scenes to help Tall Pines operate safely and seamlessly.
And to every single person who played a role. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in the crowd, thank you. Tall Pines exists because of people like you.

Most importantly, thank you to every fan who chose to spend their weekend with us and who continues to support us through both the highs and the lows. Independent festivals are incredibly difficult to build and even harder to sustain. They survive because communities believe in them, show up for them, and continue to champion them year after year. Your support means more than you know.
